THE TINY REINDEER

Upon four legs
The tiny reindeer stood,
And greeted new friends
From around the neighborhood.

A flurry of chipmunks
And squirrels everywhere,
Birds spread the news
Chirping in the air.

Around the barn
And across the farm,
They raced and played
And they played real hard.

Evening shadows fell
Everyone went home,
But the tiny little reindeer
Joyfully played on.

All is calm
All is quiet,
The tiny little reindeer
Was quite the little sight.

Stretching and yawning
Now, snuggled in bed,
Dreaming of winter snow
And Santa in Christmas red.

THROUGH WINTER'S WINDOW

Through winter's window

Gracefully falls the snow,
Its peaceful white, glistening all night,
Covering the land so cold.

Through winter's window

The birds are gathering here,
Singing on branches of winter berries
Bringing in the winter cheer.

Through winter's window
Moonbeams dance across the land,
The deer make melody
As the fireplace warms heart and hand.

Through winter's window
The story of epic prose,
Rises through baked goodies
And doorposts of ribbons and mistletoe.

Through winter's window
The land all quiet and aglow,
May the Christmas Spirit of love
Rest upon every cottage and home.

WINTER'S PARADE

Winter's parade comes
But once a year,
With sleigh bells jingling
For all to hear.

With chestnuts roasting
On open fires,

And children singing
 In Christmas choirs.

Winters parade marches in
With ribbons, and tinsel everywhere,
With gingerbread and pumpkin pies
A waft in the air.

Farm and home
Now dressed in snow,
Ushers in the warmth
of Christmas aglow.

Winter's chill the
Silent night brings,
'Tis the chorus of Angel's
Heard in the treetops whisperings.

Snowflakes falling
All across the land,
Winter's parade comes with
Peace and joy in hand.

THE MERRIEST CHRISTMAS YET

'Tis the season
To be jolly,

And it’s easy with all the bells,
Christmas cheer, and holly.

With baking done,
Ornaments all hung,

It's time for the Christmas
Carols to be sung.

The tree now decorated,
We’ll hang the mistletoe,
Then hook up the sleigh
And away we go.

Around the town square
With lights so bright,
Oh, what a glorious
Christmas night.

Up to the table,
Glass held in the air,
We’ll give a toast to Jesus,
He’s why we’ve gathered here.

Come now,
We’ll sit by the fire aglow,

With a warm cup, we’ll snuggle up,
And watch the falling snow.

With family all gathered,
We’re all set,
It'll be the merriest
Christmas yet.
